 Tariq Nassar was born in 1984 and grew up in Ras Al-Amoud neighborhood in East Jerusalem. In 2002, he finished high school with average of 95% and was the fifth place in the entire East Jerusalem school system.  He studied Architectural Engineering with a full scholarship at Bir Zeit University. Since his graduation, he has worked in several different countries: USA, Jordan, Tunisia and Israel. Later on, he received a double master’s degree on full scholarship from Stuttgart University (Germany) and Ain Shams University (Cairo) in Integrated Urbanism and Sustainable Design.
Tariq has attended and presented in many conferences and workshops: Berlin, Rome, Venice, Morocco, Jordan and Jerusalem. He has completed many additional training courses in sustainability, management, social skills and many others technical computer programs.
Currently, he is employed by the Eden Company (a company of the Jerusalem Municipality)  - as a part time architect at the Community Centre of Wadi Joz -responsible for defining spaces to become “places”, e,g, the design and coordination of Placemaking projects in the centre of East Jerusalem. His work focuses on developing humans and places together.
Moreover, he is a freelancer architect and an urban planner working on several projects in the city of Jerusalem and other areas such as Um Al-Fahem and Taiba city. He's considered as an expert and social activist in East Jerusalem.
